The Commerce Company offers participation in its start point portals on a
membership basis.
Companies may become basic Commerco members at no charge if they offer an affiliates
marketing program within their on-line enabled e-commerce site and are approved
for participation in the Commerco network.
For more information on affiliates programs, please click here.
While details continue to be refined, basic membership offers members:
- Full registration and links from the
Companies.Net and / or
Firms.Net business portal start points.
- Up to 5 press releases per year to be made available on
WireCopy, a Commerco start point portal for
press releases, company news and information.
- Links in 2 additional relevant vertical portal sites to
assist in the further exposure of a member company.
Additional fees for items such as premium listings or certain specialty
portals may occur.
Commerco believes that affiliate based e-commerce is the most fair and equitable
way to generate business for companies as cost of sales are only incurred as a
consequence of actual successful transactions.
Membership Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Can we purchase banner advertising at Commerco start point portals?
A: Interestingly enough, Commerco does not sell its banner advertising. Our existing
data suggests that the company will have sufficient traffic to justify driving
visitors within its own network of start point portals and vertical market sector
portals. When Commerco does accept banner advertising, it is on an affiliate
relationship basis. In other words, Commerco management believes the value of
its banner space is quite high. Given its CPM rate, Commerco does
not wish to surrender the space for anything other than its portals and its affiliates.
Q: Can anyone become a Commerco member?
A: No. We reserve the right to exclude anyone from membership without cause. Commerco
reasons for rejecting a site include, but are not limited to, sites that contain
images or content that is in any way unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory,
obscene, harassing or racially, ethically or otherwise objectionable as determined by
the sole discretion of The Commerce Company.
Q: What is your position on spam or UCE (unsolicted commercial email)?
A: The Commerce Company does not endorse UCE in any form. Commerco does not release
its lists to any third party companies without concent from a given member.
Consequentially, Commerco reserves the right to remove any member company that is found
to engage in such activities, while retaining rights to any and all fees due to Commerco.
